Manual Sponsor Re-assignment Process and More Updates..

Hello NPN’ers,

New Sponsor Placement Process:

The sponsor re-assignment option is now active in your NPN backoffice!

This means you can choose your latest referrals (joined within 48 hrs), and assign them to a different sponsor in your downline. This is excellent news for those of you that are building in a ‘team build’ or have a reason for being able to give your referrals to someone in your downline. It is similar to how the RDS works, except that you are doing the placement yourself manually.

In your backoffice, click on “My Current Stats” to go to your affiliate stats page. Then click the link above your stats that says “Re-assign Sponsorship”. From there you can go through the process of re-assigning your referral to a new sponsor. Please read the FAQ and watch the video there to familiarize yourself with the process before you begin. The changes you make cannot be reversed, so make sure you are sure of what you’re doing…

Question: What is “best practice” when moving someone like this?
Answer: It is recommended that you only move your referrals under one of your other personal referrals. That way if the new sponsor quits, your original referral will compress back to you. If you move your referral under someone that is not sponsored by you, you may risk losing them from your downline in the future. The choice is yours.

Here is the video tutorial on Youtube (the backoffice version is better):

Message Board Changes:

Please re-visit our message board, I have made some changes to the forum. We now have a “General Marketing Discussion” forum and I have merged a couple of the other forums into “Community Support”. Global NPN – Double your Downline this month?

Hello NPN’ers,

Member Placement Update:

I will be implementing a new placement process in the next few days where you’ll be able to re-assign the sponsor (and upline) of your personal referrals. It will work like this: When you sponsor a new (paid) member into GlobalNPN, you can take that referral and give them to one of your other downline members, manually, from your backoffice. You will have a certain timeframe in which to do this (ie. 24 hrs.) and you’ll be able to do this once per referral.

** yes the referral bonus would go to the new sponsor, like the RDS **

What makes this so great?

Well.. This is great news for those of you that are doing a “team build” situation, where you need to make sure that certain people in your group get their referrals. You will now be able to assign the sponsor yourself to your new referrals.

This will also give you the opportunity to help (reward) those people in your downline that are putting in the most effort for you. (ie. You can ensure your new referrals aren’t going to that “deadbeat” in your 2nd level anymore)

This will give you the opportunity to build more strategically than the current RDS system can. Yes, the RDS works fine as it is but now you have a little bit more control over how things work out.

Cool, huh? Let me know what you think.

So, here’s a challenge for you for this month..

The biggest online marketing season is almost upon us, so let’s get a flying start!

My challenge to you is that everyone in NPN sponsors 1 new person this month (or more of course). Sponsors this is aimed at you. It is up to you to motivate yourself and your downlines to get this done. 1 New Referral Each. If you can do this, your downline will double in size. Simple as that, and the Power of 1 makes it that much more attractive. 1 new referral each month = double your downline. Of course you can take advantage of the new placement process I mentioned above to help out your team, and they can do the same. Duplicate it. Call your team. Email your team. Facebook your team. Get going!

Think you can do it? I think you can, just FOCUS on that goal for this month, and make it happen. (hint: eCertificates work wonders for duplication)

P.S. In the near future I will *probably* have a process to re-assign uplines only (you keep the ref bonus). Not as attractive in my opinion since you’re only passing down $.50, but some of you may like it.

P.P.S. While you’re at it, please “Like” my new Facebook page here so I can shorten my URL (thanks!) 😛

How to get Quality MLM Leads

Hello NPN’ers,

I want to let you in on a little ‘secret method’ I have to making sure that the GlobalNPN referrals I get personally are going to be active and motivated networkers.

I have heard from people all over the online MLM industry that (while they may have no problem generating leads) the leads and referrals that they generate are simply not the ‘right’ people for their business. They get leads, and they convert to paying members, but they don’t produce in their downline and eventually they just drop out. Sound familiar?

I often hear things like, “My referrals never return my emails”, or “My downline isn’t doing anything!”, or “I try to help them but they don’t respond..”, or “I recruited him, never heard from her, and then she just quit without a word!”. I hate hearing stuff like that.

I know it’s frustrating because you’ve just wasted a ton of time (and probably money) recruiting these people and they just don’t work out.

Some people blame the industry for this, and they’re partly correct. It’s true there are millions of people out there that are looking for a “quick buck” and will join anything to give it a shot, even though they have no idea what it takes to succeed in this business. Most of these people need significant “hand-holding” and generally never make any real money. And when I say “hand-holding”, I really mean “time-wasting”. I know that your time as a sponsor is valuable, and trying to get these people going can be a real stress on you and can take you away from supporting your real “active” referrals.

The way most people do their prospecting online is to get as many eyeballs in front of their capture page as possible, which is what you should be doing.. However..

The problem lies in what happens after they’ve generated their leads.

What happens next is some of those leads will upgrade into your GlobalNPN downline in hopes that they’ll make some fast money, without knowing what’s involved. And then the vicious circle begins again with you (as their sponsor) trying to turn these people into network marketers, while they just want to magically get rich without doing anything.

Yes, you make a quick referral commission off these people but you may have figured out that you’re probably going to be back at square one in a month or two after they give up and hop off to the next opportunity they see.

So what the heck do we do about this?

What needs to happen is a qualification process before your leads are introduced to your GlobalNPN links. It’s not a difficult thing to do and it really separates the bad from the good.

There’s nothing wrong with generating as many leads as you can possibly generate, as quickly as you can. The more leads the better. BUT only a few of those leads will be good mlm’ers, and the rest can still be good leads to make money from in other ways. You need to qualify your MLM’ers before you give them GlobalNPN.

Here’s what I do, and it works really well.

First of all I have my own capture page, which offers something for free in turn for their opt-in. This is the top of my marketing funnel.

Now after they opt-in, they get forwarded to the free product they requested, and now they’re in my funnel and I can market to them.

My funnel focuses on generating MLM-specific leads. In other words, my capture page and free product specifically have to do with building an MLM business. That way I know that the people opting in are interested in building their MLM businesses, as opposed to just buying stuff from me.

Inside my funnel I have videos and information on me and what I do, and I also have some other training videos to keep them interested and moving through my funnel.

Anyways…

At some point in my funnel I want to qualify them before I decide to introduce them to my MLM Opportunity (ie. GlobalNPN).

Here’s how I do that..

I give them something to do. I simply give them a task to complete. I basically tell them that before I decide to work with them, I need to know more about them, and I need to know what their goals are – both short term, and long term goals. And I want to know “why” they have those goals, I dig a little deeper than “how much money do you want to make”. ie. they have to justify to me the amount of money they want to make. It can (and should) go beyond the whole money-making aspect as well…

So, before anything goes further, I say “if you want to join me in what I’m doing here, I need you to complete this task”.

Doing this accomplishes a few things..

  1. It engages the prospect.
  2. Here they get to DO something.  People like being told what to do.
  3. It forces the prospect to communicate with me directly.
  4. It creates anticipation in the prospect, they know that I’ll be responding to them directly to either approve or disapprove (ie. they remember me).
  5. It encourages the prospect to be honest and forthcoming with what they want to accomplish.
  6. It shows that I am genuinely interested in knowing more about them, and that I’m not just trying to sell them something.
  7. It ultimately shows whether or not they’re the kind of person I want in my downline.

After doing this, I know that the people that complete my “task”, at the very least, are people that..

  • are willing to communicate
  • probably have some experience
  • can follow instructions
  • take the initiative
  • have specific long-term and short-term goals
  • have good work ethics
  • genuinely WANT to work to succeed.

And remember, if they don’t qualify, they’re still on my list… which means I can still market “other stuff” to them 🙂

Honestly, I believe that if you do the same thing, you will have a lot less difficulty in building your NPN business. You will get quality people in your downlines which will save you TONS of time and money in the long run.

I am currently testing this in NPNDirectorMachine, giving the leads a very quick couple of questions to answer. I am getting lots of responses to it, which is excellent. So.. if you start getting “task results” in your inbox from your NPNDirectorMachine leads, please reply to them RIGHT AWAY – these are the people you want and you need to get in contact with them. I will activate this in the next few days..

GlobalNPN: About Security and Charity

Hello NPN’ers,

A couple quick updates for you..

Firstly, this is more of an ‘FYI’, I just wanted to make you aware of the fact that GlobalNPN (thenpn.biz) is 100% PCI (payment card industry) compliant. What this certification means is that GlobalNPN (including all the online servers and services we own) meets “compliance standards to protect personal information and ensure security when transactions are processed using a payment card.”

To make the long story short, your information is safe and secure with us. We’ve been compliant for quite some time so I thought I’d just let you know to maybe put your mind at ease when dealing with credit card transactions etc. Plus, being PCI compliant kinda lets the world know that we’re serious about being a long term business and that we’re not here to make a quick buck and disappear. There’s a lot of time (and money) involved in getting this certificate as well, there’s a lot of hoops you have to jump through, but it’s important.

Quick question: Do you ever check for PCI compliance before entering your credit card information into a form…?? Didn’t think so, perhaps you should. There’s a lot more involved than just having that ‘padlock’ in the bottom corner of your browser window.

Second item of note..

Some of you might remember an update I sent out a while ago with regards to contributions that I make to an organization called “Heifer.org”.

Here’s a section of that update:

“…It’s an excellent organization that I’ve been personally involved with over the last few years. The way they help people is amazing, check it out.. My plan is to match the monthly bonus payments that YOU earn, and donate that amount to Heifer.org. Again this is more of an FYI… none of this will come out of your commissions (don’t panic), I’m doing this out of my own pocket, because I think it matters….”

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that a portion of the “Bonus Promotion” money that is generated each month will go to Heifer.org on behalf of the company. Again, don’t worry, I’m not taking the money from YOUR bonus money, I’m basically matching a percentage of it and paying it out of my own pocket, because I know it’s a good cause.

I kind of have an issue with people that make a lot of money, but don’t do any good with it. The fact is, our industry (online marketing) sees millions and millions of dollars going through it every month, yet I NEVER see online companies (like NPN), or individuals doing anything with that money to help people that really need it – at least not publicly.

Maybe this will encourage you to promote NPN more, maybe not. Maybe it will encourage more people to join NPN at the upgraded levels (since that’s where the bonus money comes from).. and maybe not. Doesn’t make a difference to me. But I know it can make a difference to others.

This month your efforts bought a Flock of Ducks, a Flock of Chicks, and an Earth Basket at Heifer.org.

Hopefully we can all do more next month!

Have a great day.
