The 30 Day Blogging Challenge – Are you up for it?

Hello all..

I would say “Happy Friday” to you but if you run your own business like I do… weekends are never really “weekends”. Not that I’m complaining 🙂

Okay, I have a challenge for you..

As most of us know, an essential part of our online presence is our blogs. Right? And in order to be productive in your blogging, you need to follow the “C.C.C.” rule:

Constantly Create Content”

Hey, that’s not bad considering I just made that up now. lol

Seriously though, the content you create on your blog is not only important for your blog traffic, it’s also a very important part of your list building as well. Yes, yes it is.

You always need to be providing value to your list, and you blog content is an incredibly easy way to deliver it. As many of you know, most emails I send out will point you to my blog to get the complete message. Very rarely do I deliver a complete email message in an email (go figure) – I always give them the “gist” of it, then say “go here to get the rest..” and off they go to my blog. You can say so much more on a blog than you can in an email, and you can deliver it better, brand yourself, get feedback, and really put your personality into your message.

Right, so here’s your challenge

In my opinion, you should be delivering content to your list – via your blog – 3-5 times per week.. MINIMUM. And if you want to put numbers to it, focus about 30% of it on marketing a product, the rest is just valuable content.

My challenge is for you to create 5 blog posts per week for the next 30 days.

Blog posts that are relevent to whatever you’re currently marketing of course. 5 posts per week for a month is 20 blog posts in total. Sounds like a lot but really all we’re talking about is 1 hour per day for 5 out of 7 days.

Note: If you’re feeling particularly creative you could do all 5 in one day, then all you have to do is post them on the approprate days. It’s up to you.

Honestly that’s not a lot of time, but blogs last forever so what you’re doing is creating content that you can use over and over again to provide value to your list.

What do you think? Can you do it? Will you do it? … or will you let it go, once again searching for an “easier way”?

As always, it’s up to you of course..

Oh and by the way, I’m challenging myself to do this as well. It’s not easy when you have other businesses to run but I’m up for it.

Let me know if you do this and I’d be happy to come over and comment or give suggestions..

So.. Happy Friday! Hit me up on Facebook if you like:

P.S. I have a new product coming out soon that will show you step by step how to build your list by 100-500 new (high quality) leads per week… for $0.00 using solo ads. Sound good?

    • Write your blog in Spanish in wordpad or notepad. Once you’re satisfied with it, go to translate.google.com.

Copy/paste it there and translate it into English
Copy/paste it to where ever you want it.

  2. You’re on Geoff!
I only have one blog right now with plans to get some more up and running in the near future. This challenge is just what I need! I will do this consistently every week. Hmmmm, now I just need to figure out my content for it. That will be a challenge in itself because I am still somewhat of a newbie. But, I also do like a challenge! I can’t wait to hear about your new product too!
Take care and have an awesome weekend!

  3. I just find it very difficult to write everyday when I not know much about much. I wrote about what I know and I ran out of ideas. I already wrote 17 blogs in the last month. and find it difficult to come up with more content everyday. I just wish I was more informed about a lot more things. I would appreciate your feedback Geoff. Here is my blog site. http;//empowernetwork.com/loridreams

    • Hi Lori!

One ‘trick’ that many of the ‘masters’ in our industry use is to grab content from a blog post that they like. They then comment on that blog post, give a quick highlight article about that post and provide a link to the original post.

This is a way for you to get valuable content on your blog and may actually get you some link love back from the original poster!

See something in the news or in a magazine? Use it!

Just some ideas that I was given by some of the industry leaders I have contact with.

You might want to try it.

  4. I’ll take you up on the challenge, Geoff, since it will give me a chance to check out some new content curation software – and then I’ll add the challenge to the Mobile Artisan group.

This coming week I’m going to start managing my G+ circles, too. Pursuing the social circles merry-go-round! Sound like fun? Wanna join me?

    Cheers!

PS: Let it rip for open mic!

  6. Hey Geoff,
Go back to square one – tell us newcomers (NB not “newbies ” – horrible word!) how to set up blogs and expose them to the market.

  8. Geoff,
You are so right. Blogging really works. I am up to about 1 blog per week. Hate to write, but see the benefits. So I am learning to love to do what I hate to do?
But over the last two to three months I have been blogging for my Classic Car business and have seen how I am starting to dominate with my branding name and business by just blogging once or twice a week. Keep pushing the idea of blogging daily. It is my goal and I always find a way to procrastinate. But regardless of the number of times that you do it, it only benefits you. Even once a week is 50 articles a year.
    Love your emails and support,

  9. Hi Geoff,
I am excited about learning how to blog the right way. I have never been good at writing about anything and it takes alot of time and skill. We used to call it composition back in the 50\\\\’s and 60\\\\’s.
You probably know of a guy called Mike Dillard who had become the biggest online/offline marketer of the world and he is selling his initial package at 39,95. His bigger package is upwards of about 4,000. My question is whether I can learn enough from you or should I add his dvd\\\\’s to my equation? I am tired of trying to find the right source to learn from and then do it.l

  11. Hi Goeff,
I have always been intrigued with bolgging but, because I know very little about it or how to set one up, I have always given it amiss. How does one do this? Also, wouldn’t know what to put into it. This statement might sound a bit stupid but one has to start somewhere and without asking you will never know.

  12. I have no problem with posting 5 articles/week.

As a suggestion to other bloggers, mix up your blog posts with not only your business opportunities, but try to find some motivational subjects and/or marketing suggestions.

Put your own spin or opinion on the post. Find some good Key Words to mix into the post and then embed your affiliate &/or business URLs in key words to get more exposure on Search Engines.

Some bloggers just explain their day and then intermingle their Biz Opp at the end of the article. Blogging can be fun, just do it until it becomes an easy daily habit 😉

  13. Thanks for the Challenge Geoff (Happy Monday) I have made several attempts to create my blog/s but usually give up in frustrations. Setting up the blog is easy, but it\’s the part of knowing how to manage the blog with things like, posting, pages, categories, etc, etc … that usually stop me in my tracks. I have purchased, video courses, and gotten free videos on creating a blog, but it seems something is always missing, or I cannot read the text in the videos as they are too small, or the is not very clear in dispensing his/her knowledge. I am sure somewhere out there in Cyber Space is the Blog tutorial video that I am looking for. 🙂
