Hello NPN’ers,
(This applies to NPN members paying their subscription through Alertpay with their MasterCard. This does NOT apply to you if you’re paying with your Visa or MasterCard directly through NPN.)
It has come to my attention that Alertpay is currently having issues processing transactions through MasterCard.
Although I don’t know the reason why, I do know that it could be affecting your NPN subscriptions. It appears that any subscription that is automatically set to be paid with Mastercard is simply not being processed. It is keeping the subscription active but the payment is not being sent by Alertpay.
However, our system will downgrade you if you haven’t made your subscription payment within 30 days of your previous payment. Obviously if alertpay isn’t running the payments through, you’re getting downgraded by us in the NPN system even if your subscription is active, and you won’t be able to promote your links or login to your NPN backoffice. This is not a smart move by Alertpay.
Regardless, here is your solution to keep your NPN account active:
Log in to your Alertpay account and cancel your current NPN subscription. Then login to your current NPN backoffice, select your upgrade level, and start a new subscription using your payment method of choice.
You can use:
- Your Alertpay account balance.
- Visa/Amex through Alertpay.
- MasterCard directly through NPN (no fees)
- Visa directly through NPN (no fees)
Please take care of this A.S.A.P. so you don’t lose your NPN position/downlines.
Please note that you CAN pay for your NPN subscription using either your Visa OR Mastercard directly through GlobalNPN (not through alertpay). There is NO problem processing MasterCard when paying this way. Since we do our own processing specific to NPN, we do NOT have any of the issues Alertpay has, or may have in the future.
During this time WE ARE WAVING THE $2 PROCESSING FEE FOR DIRECT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ON NEW SUBSCRIPTIONS! So, it’s a good time to get locked in..
Thanks.

Hi Geoff,
I agree that it is wise that members do not take risks with their NPN subscription…..
question…is there any chance of NPN adopting Paypal as an additional payment source? This is more available for people in the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia as far as I can make out.
I know Alertpay has delivered consistently for you but it doesn’t recognise certain cards that are used in areas outside Europe and the U.S.
Best wishes
Peter
Peter,
I have requested paypal acceptance a few times over the years. They have yet to approve NPN, regardless of our track record.
I am looking into various debit card solutions at this time. However, we still do our own processing, which is always best for the membership since we’re not depending on a 3rd party processor to stay in business.
Most people don’t understand the whole credit card processing business and I don’t expect them to. But companies like Alertpay will always have issues due to the nature of their customer base. Being our own processor enables us to provide our members with a far more stable processing solution.

WHO CARES YOU CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD AND THEN CLOSED MY ACCOUNT FOR NON PAYMENT I KEEP ALL MY RECIEPTS ON COMPANYS THAT DONT HAVE PAY PAL CERTIFED NOW I WILL TURN THIS OVER TO THE DIST. ATTNY. OFFICE FOR INTERSTATE FRAUD ALONG WITH THE STATEMENT FROM THE CREDIT COMPANY AND YOUR E MAIL
Well, in the email you sent me the receipt was a paypal receipt for a completely different company. We never have accepted paypal.
Perhaps you should get your facts straight before you lean on your ‘caps lock’ key. Ya think?
Hello,
Paypal does not allow mlm programs.. and even when they do and approve the program to use Paypal as their Payment Processor they can change their mind for no reason and freeze all the funds in your Paypal account for 180 days..this has happened to me personally so I have experience of Paypal’s too big to care attitude..
Regards
Alan Chapman
Mlm is deemed to be ‘high risk’ for credit card companies. Believe me, I’ve been through all that. Paypal doesn’t want to assume that risk. It’s not paypal’s fault since they’re slaves to the credit card co’s.

Thanks for the info Geoff. I’ll be sure to pass it on. Have a wonderful day!
Hey Geoff, just to clarify..when you said “During this time WE ARE WAVING THE $2 PROCESSING FEE FOR DIRECT CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS! So, it’s a good time to get locked in..” did you mean that if we switch to direct credit card payments we will never, EVER have to incur the $2 charge again?
If thats the case i’m gonna tell my downline! :o) Alertpay has certainly given them the run around..
Also, do we have to go ahead and cancel and re-subscribe or will NPN automatically waive the fees from March onwards?
Thanx Geoff!!
Melody,
Waving the fee is really just to give people an option to painlessly switch from Alertpay to direct credit card, because of the Alertpay issue I noted – and until the issue is resolved.
Correct, if you subscribe today you will not pay the fee for the duration of that specific subscription. If you cancel THAT subscription and start a new one in the future, the fee will most likely be added again.
It only applies to new subscriptions. It’s not meant as a discount for everyone, just helping out those that may be affected by the Alertpay issue at this time.

Hi Geoff,
In my Npn back office I check my billing info again and it says.
According to our records, you are paying your subscription via:
Direct Credit Card.
And I have visa card attached to my ap but as I am paying directly through credit card I dont think I have to cancel my subscription.
Please let me know.
No, you’re fine.
AlertPay SAYS it is having issues with MasterCard but I tried using Visa to pay my NPN subscription and got the same error message. I’m glad you waived the fee because I spent days trying to upgrade before the end of the month waiting for Alertpay to be fixed and I was kind of annoyed about having to pay the $2
HI Admin, I had the same issues and my subscription did not honored by AP. Now I am planning to directly use my CC with NPN . If I pay directly how I am going to receive my commissions ?
Harini
You will still receive your commissions via Alertpay.
I joined and paid through Alertpay. I have received notification from them saying that the transaction has been processed. NPL says that my membership is not current. If I unsubscribe and subscribe again will i be refunded the first lot of payment through Alertpay?
Audrey
If you have paid, let me know what your NPN ID# is and I’ll upgrade it.
Just sent an email to admin with NPN ID# & Alertpay receipt. 🙂
Your account was already active.
It wasn’t at the time I sent the email but thank you for checking into it.
Dear Geoff, Thank you very much for the information. One clarification I like to know, if we have balance in Alertpay will the subscription be deducted automatically, so that I can maintain the balance in Alertpay account.
or it is compulsory to pay with credit card every month.
Kindly let me know.
With regards,
Durai Samson.
you should not make us pay the 2.00 fee i dont charge my customers and i own a small company under the U.S. stats you should change service company and stop making us pay YOUR FEES!!!
Thank you for your opinion.
this is not a opinion want me to send you a cheapper server if your credit is good as mine they olny charge .55% not 2.00 or 20% plus that is totally over priced alert pay dont even charge that OUT SIZED amount you also could call pay pal you do have options and a small company like mine can show you how to do this ALOT better
Does your company have a multi-level affiliate payout and are your products downloadable?
yes and have a AA listing with the BBB
Great, what’s your website?
… didn’t think so.
Hi Geoff,
Sounds as though you have tried everything and have found solutions for members.
Debit card availability would be very excellent….that way members can directly link their npn to a business account.
Great stuff…..
Thank you
Peter
I had trouble with this on 12/24/2010. On this day the payment should be done but failed. Since this time i had no problem with alertpay and MasterCard. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to send the involved members a message obout a failed payment and give them time of 14 days to fix the payment instead of downgrade the npn account?
i realy like mlm programme. I tried using Visa to pay my NPN subscription and got the same error message. I’m glad you waived the fee because I spent days trying to upgrade
