NPN Video Hosting – New Option

Hey NPN’ers,

Quick FYI to let you know that if you are a “Gold” level member, you now have the option of switching the watermarked NPN logo on or off for your uploaded videos.

Why?

If for whatever reason you don’t want your NPN link and the NPN logo to display in your NPN hosted videos, you can now turn it on or off for each individual video you upload.

This option is located at the bottom of your “edit video” page for each video.

There are more options coming to the video hosting (and other tools), so stay tuned.

That’s it for today..

3 page, 6 figure funnel

Good morning, marketers!

Do you ever start your day without a plan of action? (I hate that)

Sometimes you need a swift kick in your a** just to get moving. I get that. I experience that.

And sometimes what you need is a process to follow that walks you through the steps needed in order to accomplish that “something” you need to get done.

So if you’re looking for something to do, I have a step-by-step plan for promoting your GlobalNPN business.

(and you’ll see how easy this can be, putting it together)

BUT, I need to know if you’re interested in learning this, otherwise I’ll put my efforts elsewhere.

Fair enough?

Ok.

I’ve done live workshop trainings like these before and I call it my “3 page, 6 figure funnel”… because that’s what it is, and what it can end up being.

What we’re going to do is this:

  1. Create a video review “offer” of one of your GlobalNPN products (specifically, the NPN Multi-Ad Tracker),
  2. Create a squeeze page for it to build your list, with a redirect to your GlobalNPN sales page.
  3. Then create a couple email followups to get you started on your autoresponder sequence.
  4. Then promote your offer via a purchased solo ad (or any method you choose).

… and what’s really cool is.. we’ll do all of this using ONLY your GlobalNPN products (you don’t have to, of course, but how can you sell a product you don’t use? ;))

Sound good?

Are you up for it?

Excellent.

Sound complicated?

Maybe, but not really. I’m going to walk you through the entire process.

This training will take place over the next few days (starting tomorrow), and you’ll only be able to access it if you optin to my list.

I only want people that WANT to get this training, which is why I’d like you to opt in. You will receive the training information/links via email.

If you don’t want this training, then don’t opt in – simple.

NOTE: if you DO opt in, please comment below that you have.

Here is the link to the opt in form:

This could be awesome for you 🙂

How to Increase Opt in Rates to 80%

Hey NPN’ers,

Here is a free video training I did a while ago on how to increase your optin rates with a few simple steps.

The sales funnel that I used in the video regularly gets me “at least” a 40-60% optin rate when running solo ads, sometimes higher depending on the list etc.

I used the video itself as the free offer to get optins, with the squeeze page you’ll see in the video.

To see the actual squeeze page and funnel, go here:

Let me know if this is helpful to you..

Any comments feel free to post below..

Thanks.

How to Make a Video When You’re Terrified of Making Videos

Hello all.

Okay, so a while back I made a video that was one of those “talking head” videos where you are simple speaking directly to the camera. I sent the link out to one of my lists.

..And I said in a follow-up email that video should be a big part of marketing and you should start making videos to increase your circle of influence and inform people as to what you’re all about. Brand yourself etc..

Let’s face it, video is a great way of communicating with massive numbers of people on a very personal level.

I received an email back shortly after from a woman that basically said, “Well, easy for YOU to say. You are already comfortable making videos. I am TERRIFIED to get in front of the camera. No way!”

making-video

It was that email that took me back a few years to when I was first starting out, and I was making videos… or at least “trying” to make videos. I have watched some of my early videos and admittedly they were awful.. poorly put together, poorly edited, and I looked like a bit of an idiot!

BUT.. they got better over time and I was thinking about WHY they got better and how I managed to put together a decent video that communicated my message to the people I was targeting.

It all came down to one thing: I wrote EVERYTHING down that I wanted to say.

Simple, right?

Seriously, though. When I say I wrote everything down, I mean I scripted out every single word, and every single pause that was going to happen in my video.

Everything was completely scripted.

Even the intro where I’d say “Hey it’s Geoff here from xyz company, and I want to …..”

Everything.

Now, I have to tell you that my writing style has a lot to do with how this works. When I blog, as I write I HEAR myself reading what I’m writing OUT LOUD. Which makes it read very conversationally and not just “here’s the facts”. In my head I’m explaining the information (whatever it is), and when I write it comes out like that.

Just like I’m doing now.. I’m hearing myself SAY what I’m writing to you. Understand?

When I make videos, it’s the same thing.

First I write everything that I’m going to say in that “conversational” voice.

Then I actually read it back to myself OUT LOUD so I can hear what it’s going to sound like.

After doing that I know what I have to edit to make it sound better and more natural when I actually do the video.

At least that’s how I did it when I was starting out. These days I can just write down in point form what I’m going to say and then fill in the spaces. But when I want to make sure I get my point across completely, nothing beats scripting out the whole thing and going through those steps I mentioned above.

So if you’re terrified of making videos or even audios.. that is my advice, simply script it all out and read it back in your OWN voice. If it doesn’t sound right, change your script and then read it back again. Repeat until perfect! 🙂

That’s how I did it. Hope this helps!

This is what it takes to be successful..

Hello all..

I just made a video in response to the question I asked of you a couple days ago.

Hopefully it will let you know what you really need to do in order to be very successful in this business..

Hi this is Geoff Stephen from GlobalNPN..

As you know I put the question out there a couple days ago as to what obstacles you were facing that you felt were preventing you from seeing success in your business.

And I got lots of really good answers. Really thoughtful honest answers, obstacles that were legitimately holding you back that I can help you with. And I appreciate those answers..

I also got a lot of excuses, and complaints, and people that were content in blaming other things or other people for their failures, and I can’t really do anything for those people because there’s more at work there than just learning how to do something new to help your business.

But one of the repeating things in your answers was that a lot of you are saying that one big obstacle was finding the right program that’s going to make you money. And that you have been doing this for years and none of the programs you joined ever made you any money.

The biggest thing I see that’s wrong with that is the fact that your success has nothing to do with the product or program you’re promoting.. I mean of course you need to get paid and the program needs to be solid etc, I’m not talking about that, and I don’t think you are either. What you are saying is that the program itself isn’t making me any money – which makes it easy to redirect the blame to the program, right?

The program is not what makes you money. It’s YOU that makes money. The program is just a product you sell as a solution for other people’s problems. And as soon as you see it that way, that the only determining factor in your success is YOU, that’s when your business starts to take a turn for the better. It’s not the program. That simple change of mindset is what turned my business around years ago and I haven’t looked back.

If you keep relying on the program, or the product, or the other guy, for your success. You will never get ahead – and you’ll keep spinning your wheels. I know I did, but I changed how I looked at internet marketing and I totally turned things around for myself and for the people around me.

It’s interesting that the internet marketing industry is a marketing industry that is full of people that don’t know much about marketing.

It’s unique that way, I mean the restaurant industry is not full of people that don’t know anything about running a restaurant. Our business is unique in that way.

So let me say this…

If you have decided to be in the internet marketing industry (and this includes the network marketing industry), you’ll notice that the name of what we do dictates where our expertise must be in order to be successful in it. The internet marketing industry tells us what we need to be good at. What do we need to learn? We need to learn how to market on the internet. We all know how to get on the internet, but for some reason the marketing part doesn’t register with people.

I mean if you want to be successful in the real estate industry, you should probably focus on learning about real estate, right?

And it’s interesting that a lot of the people I’ve talked to over the years that were having difficulty in making money online, had spent next to nothing (money or time) on learning about marketing. They spent thousands and thousands of dollars on programs and systems and get rich quick promises – and what’s disturbing is that they keep doing it over and over. When in fact if they started out learning about marketing they would be light years ahead of where they are today.

The people that make good money in internet marketing, go figure, are people that have focused on learning marketing. You have to realize that. They know how to sell products, they know how to sell ideas, they know how to sell themselves… It’s a skill that everyone has to learn, and it’s a skill that anyone can learn, but you have to learn it and practise it. Only after I learned specific marketing skills and after I got good at it, I started earning a lot of money.

Internet marketing is not a lottery, so don’t approach it as such. It’s a business plain and simple.

You have to take the advice of people that are experienced in your industry. It’s funny, I’ve been in this business for over 15 years now (which is longer than anyone else I know personally), I’ll give someone some business advice, or copywriting advice or whatever, and then the next day they’ll go and do the complete opposite because some no-name guy said they could get rich doing some gimmicky internet scheme – then they fail, lose their money, and then come back to me.. which is kind of why I don’t give advice to people that play the internet marketing game like a lottery.

So back to my original point.

Learn marketing skills that will help your business. Joining programs and buying into systems is not marketing and it’s not investing in yourself or your business. Pick a couple of marketing skills that will help your business and focus on those until you get good at them. Don’t do anything else until you get good at them. Whether it’s creating good content, creating squeeze pages that convert, or generating quality traffic to your offer, focus and learn it. If you can get good at a couple specific marketing skills you can make a lot of money selling anything. trust me on that.

I know a lot of you will continue refuse to take responsiblity for your failures, and that’s okay. But I also know that many of you either have what it takes already, or have what it takes to learn the skills needed to become very successful in this industry.

It doesn’t take a lot but it does take time and focus and it takes certain amount of risk. Both financial risk and time risk. And if you’re not willing to risk what it takes, and put in the time and effort required to get good at this, then you’re not going to be very successful. I know that sounds like common sense but a lot of people don’t get that.

Depend on yourself and your skills. Don’t depend on gimmicks and some magic downline program. Don’t rely on others to make it happen for you. Sure a support network is good to have but ultimately it’s up to you how successful or unsuccessful you are.

Have a great day!
